Radon Testing

Radon Testing

Accurate, Comprehensive

Radon Testing

When buying a home, testing for radon is a critical step. According to the EPA, radon kills more people every year than drunk drivers and house fires – combined!

The EPA states that the entire state of Iowa is considered at high risk for radon gas in homes. In fact, Iowa has the highest radon levels of all 50 states – which makes testing even more important

About 8 out of 10 homes in the Des Moines area have high levels of radon, so it is important for everyone to test their home.

Radon is a radioactive substance that comes naturally from the earth and into our homes. As we breathe in radon and the polonium it produces, lung cancer occurs.

Easy to Test

A monitor will be set in your home and must remain there for a minimum of 48 hours. Once the test is complete, you will be informed of the radon levels and whether or not mitigation is necessary to reduce them.
